Let's talk layout!

Howdy everyone,

The last two months have been truly incredible. All the principle writing is done on the book, and we've been going through the editing and notes process. Since this book will include quite a bit in terms of class and augment stuff, we thought it would be a good idea to list out what is in chapter 5.

  • 12 New Cleric Domains based on each of the new gods.
  • The Steelsoul Class
  • The Blood Mage Class
  • The Therian Ranger class (with 3 subclasses)
  • Demigods
  • 2 new Endurant subclasses
  • Endurant mechanics patch

As you can imagine, this was a nightmare to write lol. But, this is the bulkiest section of the book in terms of pure numbers and math. We're wrapping it up with the last of the notes soon.

That means, the first 3 chapters are going to layout!! This is a major milestone and it's where the book starts looking like...well, a book. We'll be share screenshots just as soon as we have em to share.

Thanks you all so much,

Jason

Nearing the end of writing

Howdy everyone,

This year has seen us check a lot off of our todo list. We want the book to be the big one though. We're finally closing in on the last of the writing, editing and rewriting. That means we can move on to layout. Our next post should have some tasty final pages for you all.

We want to thank you all again for being patient during this whole thing. It's been a mess for sure, and much slower than any of us would want, but we think you'll really like it.

thanks,

Jason

Notes, Notes, Notes!

Howdy all,

As we mentioned last time, first drafts of all new playable classes, sub classes and more are done. We've been playtesting them for the last 2 months to ensure they are as balanced as possible and now we're moving on to notes for the first 5 chapters. As you may have guessed, the notes process takes time. There are (many) spelling and grammar things to catch, math fixes and tons of little wording things to make the rule and lore more clear.

One of the things I'm looking most forward to is getting you folks to try the new ranger. A hardcore archer class that has tons of versatility on the field.

Layout for the first 5 chapters will begins soon. :)

Rangers, Demigods, and some great news

Howdy all,

While this project has had it's fair share of setbacks, there's some great news to talk about. Over a year and a half ago, Jamieson (our project manager) had to step away from things to deal with his own projects and life stuff. Thankfully, he has just returned and we're making some major strides. Myself, Bri and Jamieson work best as a team, and missing any one of us tremendously slows things down.

With that being said, the first pass of Rangers are complete! Let me tell you a little bit about the new class take:

First off, thank you for all of your thoughts on the class. It was a massive help. I always saw the class as trying to do too much and not really nailing any of it. I stripped out magic and pets and made them a complete and deadly archer. The only "real" archer class. Tons of helpful abilities for sharpshooting, getting out of tight spots, and targeting specific body parts to help teammates. That, and 3 brand new subclasses for you to choose from. You can pick between a precision sniper, alchemical crowd controller, and a mechanical Hawkeye type.

There's much more to come on all of this in the next update. :)

Demigods are the focus this week, so give me any thoughts you might have!

Thanks so much,

Jason

Back on track!

The first draft of clerics are now complete. That's 11 new subdomains for you folks to play with.

I'm now moving on to a really big one: Rangers. This will be a total redo of the class from the ground up. I have a vision for this, but I want to hear from you lovely people too. What, in your eyes, is the problem with Rangers?
